Attend the PDA Pharmaceutical Microbiology Conference 2025 before the Workshop to connect with experts and set the stage for deeper learning.

Industry, pharmacopoeia, and regulatory changes to modernize pyrogen and bacterial endotoxins testing (BET) have created a generational dynamic not seen since the dawn of the BET using horseshoe crab-sourced test reagents. The pyrogenicity concept in Europe is compelling changes to pyrogen testing using rabbits, while compendia changes in the United States create the most inclusive path to converting to recombinant endotoxin reagents. The PDA Pyrogens Workshop 2025 navigates all things pyrogen and endotoxin including the evaluation and adoption of modern test methods including a survey of the regulatory and compendia landscape, test options, and practical application of the tests.

Why Attend?

Structured for deep learning and real-world relevance, this Workshop immerses participants in technical content and case-based analysis, with multiple ways to engage with peers and experts.

  • Navigate test method selection, platform implementation, and regulatory submission using Quality Risk Management (QRM) principles.
  • Gain insight into regulatory expectations and validation best practices through expert presentations.
  • Explore real-world success stories through implementation case studies.
  • Participate in collaborative small-group sessions focused on costs, barriers, and the benefits of innovative test methods.
What You Gain
  • Comprehensive understanding of pyrogen and BET modernization—from historical context to forward-looking strategies.
  • Immediate takeaways through group discussions, interactive polls, and role-playing exercises.
  • Expanded professional connections through structured networking and collaborative learning.
