Peter Rubino Nelson Labs

Peter Rubino has over a decade of experience working in the medical device, pharmaceutical, and tissue industries, specializing in microbial testing and sterilization. As a sterility assurance expert, he has performed and consulted on various tests at Nelson Laboratories, including bacterial endotoxin testing (BET), product and biological indicator (BI) sterility, bioburden, method suitability, microbial identification, and environmental monitoring. His profound knowledge and expertise in numerous aspects of sterilization processes enable advanced problem solving and continuous improvement in the industry through the adoption and validation of new testing methods, such as recombinant BET methods and rapid sterility. Peter is a member of AAMI working groups ST/WG 08 – Microbiological Methods and ST/WG 02 – Radiation Sterilization. He is also a member of the Parenteral Drug Association (PDA).
