We are pleased to announce the next PDA Visual Inspection (VI) Workshop, taking place in Berlin, Germany, on 11 November. Organized with the support of the PDA Visual Inspection Interest Group (VIIG), the workshop focuses on current, practical topics for professionals responsible for visual inspection in their companies, as well as suppliers of related products and services.
Unlike traditional technical conferences, these workshops emphasize the exchange of practical experiences and open discussion on hot topics in visual inspection. Short expert presentations serve as a starting point for extended dialogue, with participants encouraged to bring their own questions and challenges. This format has proven highly valuable in aligning content with the specific interests of attendees.
This year’s workshop will cover four key topics:
- Standards used for VI Qualification
- Practical experience from AVI implementation
- Top 10 mistakes made when performing VI
- Summary of discussions from the 2025 PDA Visual Inspection Forum
Expert speakers include Atana Koulov (Clear Solutions), Romain Veillon (GSK), and John Shabushnig (Insight Pharma Consulting), who will each facilitate discussion on these topics. The focus will be on practical lessons learned to help participants implement robust and compliant VI programs in their own organizations.
The workshop also offers excellent networking opportunities with experts and peers facing similar challenges. Immediately following the event, two hands-on training courses will be offered at the same venue: An Introduction to Visual Inspection and Mastering Automated Visual Inspection.
