PDA Interest Groups
PDA’s Interest Groups are comprised of members of the pharmaceutical manufacturing industry who wish to come together to share information and experiences, lessons learned, and best practices related to specific topics within the pharmaceutical manufacturing arena and provide the opportunity for its members to expand their access to peers and industry experts. PDA Interest Groups provide a unique forum for in-depth discussion on a wide range of industry-related topics.
PDA Interest Groups are critical to the industry and are often called upon for expert opinions and advice on a variety of subjects which can become part of future conferences, Technical Reports, Points to Consider, PDA Standards, or other offerings that support PDA’s mission.
Each group offers several engagement opportunities:
- Interest Group LinkedIn pages: Open to all members of the pharmaceutical manufacturing and regulatory community interested in the topics and provides an online venue to meet experts, engage in group discussions, and learn about valuable PDA resources.
- Virtual meetings: Live, online discussions of pertinent and pressing issues. Virtual meetings are exclusively for active PDA members.
- In-person meetings: Commonly held in conjunction with PDA’s signature conferences and open to any conference attendee.

Biopharmaceutical IGs
Purpose
The purpose of the Lyophilization Interest Group (IG) is to bring together professionals to openly discuss their issues and concerns, lessons learned, and best practices regarding lyophilization, including cycle parameters, process qualification and validation, and formulation of cryoprotectants. This group and all other PDA Interest Groups are designed to spark information exchange, actionable solutions and networking among peers who have shared challenges and interests.
