Award Winner (Drug Delivery Partnership Innovation Award) 2023: Andy Han

Andy Han received his bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from Princeton University (New Jersey, USA) and his Ph.D. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the University of California, Los Angeles. Andy started his professional career as a senior scientist in R&D at Immunetics, a small diagnostics company in Boston, and eventually transitioned to R&D Project Lead managing the development and commercialization of an IVD for the detection of bacterial contamination in blood products. He joined Bayer HealthCare (Berkeley, California, USA) as a Sr. Process Engineer in the MSAT Drug Product (DP) group in 2014 and was able to grow the analytical capabilities of the MSAT dept in Berkeley and to lead scientific investigations into complex manufacturing issues impacting biologic drug products and diluent pre-filled syringes. Andy is currently the Director of the MSAT DP group in Berkeley.
