Joining PDA in 2006, I found immense value in PDA’s Technical Reports and articles for industry benchmarking and understanding regulations - a value that persists today. However, my journey took a transformative turn when I began volunteering for the PDA Quality Risk Management (QRM) Interest Group (IG). Collaborating on a webinar about QRM for excipients opened incredible opportunities. Through active participation in and leadership of various Interest Groups, task forces, conferences, and workshops, I’ve gained extensive knowledge, formed meaningful connections with colleagues I highly appreciate, and found lasting friendships. I am proud to be part of the PDA family.
Currently, I am honored to serve as Vice-Chair of the Regulatory and Quality Advisory Board (RAQAB), Co-lead of the PDA Quality Systems Interest Group, member of the Quality Management Maturity Task Force, and contribute as Board Member to the D/A/CH Chapter. Those who know me recognize my enthusiasm for encountering ‘good QRM’. QRM has been and continues to be central to my work for years, and I am very honored to receive the PDA Service Appreciation Award in Honor of Service as a QRM IG Leader.

About Eva Urban

Eva M. Urban, currently Director at CSL Behring, leads the Global Internal Audits & Compliance team. She has 30 years’ experience in various roles – quality and operations and R&D - in Biopharma (Lonza, Celgene, CSL). Areas of expertise are Risk Management and Quality Systems including design and implementation locally and globally, Leading Internal Auditing and Hosting Regulatory Inspections, Quality Operations, Biotech R&D, Biopharmaceutical API (DS) Manufacturing, Aseptic Processing, External Vendor Quality Oversight.

Eva holds a MSc in Biology from University of Kaiserslautern, Germany.
Current and past Volunteer for PDA: Vice Chair of RAQAB (Regulatory and Advisory Board), Chair of the working group for the IPEC/PDA Technical Report “QRM for Excipients”, Co-Lead PDA Interest Group Quality Risk Management, Co-Lead PDA Interest Group Quality Systems, Planning Committee Member for PDA Conferences, Co-Chair Task PDA Task Force "Remote Audits and Inspections" and received the PDA Distinguished Service Award in 2021.
