This course will be held in German. Dieser Kurs wird eine praxisorientierte Mischung aus Vorträgen, praktischen Experimenten und Simulationsübungen vermittelt, in allen Fällen mit der Möglichkeit zur Diskussion. Zuerst wird als Grundlage notwendiges, theoretisches Hintergrundwissen vermittelt, welches durch interaktive Tutorials an Hand von Beispielen vertieft wird. Sowohl achirale wie auch chirale Trennungen werden betrachtet.

Overview

Chromatographische Methoden sind in der Analytik lange etablierter Standard und haben sich auch im präparativen Bereich zur Bereitstellung hochreiner Produkte bewährt. Aktuelle Entwicklungen auf dem Gebiet der stationären Phasen sowie neue Erkenntnisse in der Prozessauslegung auf Basis von Simulationen, kombiniert mit Laborexperimenten und / oder statistischer Versuchsplanung bis zu „Quality-by-Design”-Ansätzen haben dazu geführt, dass präparative Chromatographie zunehmend in Verfahrensentwicklung und Produktion eine wirtschaftliche Alternative darstellt. Die Trennung von Isomeren, Enantiomeren und Diastereoisomeren sowie die Aufarbeitung von Phytoextrakten und Fermentationsbrühen sind typische Applikationen.

Für die Aufarbeitung und Reinigung biotechnologischer Komponenten werden in der Produktion bis zu 6 Trennschritte eingesetzt, wobei Kolonnendurchmesser bis zu 2,5m im Niederdruckbereich zur Anwendung kommen. SMB (Simulated Moving Bed) oder MCC (MultiColumn Chromatography) werden vor allem für chirale Trennungen bei Drücken von 40-80 bar und Kolonnendurchmessern bis zu 1,2m im kontinuierlichen Gegenstrombetrieb verwendet.

In die Prozessentwicklung involvierte Wissenschaftler, Laboranten und Techniker müssen in der Lage sein, chromatographische Methodik effizient vom analytischen in den Prozess-Maßstab zu übertragen. Fundierte theoretische und experimentelle Grundlagen sowie Kenntnis der aktuellen Entwicklungen helfen beim täglichen Umgang mit den Auslegungsmethoden und ermöglichen die schnelle Umsetzung in die Projektarbeit.

Zielgruppe

Wissenschaftler und Techniker, idealerweise Teams, die sich mit präparativer Chromatographie im Prozess- und Produktionsmaßstab beschäftigen. Chemiker / Ingenieure, Laboranten / Techniker in Prozessentwicklung und Produktion. Grundlagenwissen in Chromatographie und Computeranwendungen sind für eine effiziente Teilnahme am Programm erforderlich.

Kursmaterial und Infrastruktur

Jeder Teilnehmer erhält zu Beginn einen Ordner mit den Kursunterlagen. Der experimentelle Teil wird in den Laboren des Instituts stattfinden. Die Simulationen werden in einem Computerraum durchgeführt.

Lernziele

Nach diesem Kurs sollte jeder Teilnehmer

  • in der Lage sein, moderne Auslegungsmethoden für Chromatographieprozesse in die tägliche Projektarbeit zu integrieren
  • gut über die Einsatzmöglichkeiten von Chromatographieanlagen im Labor- und technischen Bereich informiert sein
  • in der Lage sein, Experimente zur Dimensionierung von Chromatographieprozessen zu planen, durchzuführen und auszuwerten
  • gut über Möglichkeiten und Grenzen der Auslegung von Chromatographieprozessen mit Hilfe von Simulationen informiert sein
  • in der Lage sein, Batch- und SMB/MCC-Chromatographieprozesse zu evaluieren.

    Continuing Education for Pharmacists

    ACPE PDA is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) as a provider of continuing pharmacy education. Participants may sign up to receive Continuing Pharmacy Education (CPE) credits. To do so, participants must sign in at the beginning of the program, submit the provided evaluation forms and mail the CPE credit request to the address stated on the form. Attendees must be present at the full event to receive Continuing Pharmacy Education credit, which will be awarded as follows:

    ALERT   ACPE and NABP developed the CPE Monitor that allows pharmacists to electronically track their continuing pharmacy education (CPE) credits.     Continuing Education for Professional Engineers
    New Jersey

    PDA is an approved provider by the New Jersey State Board of Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors to offer courses to New Jersey Professional Engineers for Continuing Professional Competency (CPC) credit. Following the full participation in this course, participants will receive a Certificate of Accomplishment specifying the number of CPC credits that may be awarded. This certificate can be submitted as verification of completion to the Board for license renewal.

    The credit value of this course is CPC credits.
    North Carolina

    PDA is recognized by the North Carolina Board of Examiners for Engineers and Surveyors as an Approved Sponsor of Continuing Professional Competency (CPC) activities for Professional Engineers licensed by North Carolina. To receive a Certificate of Accomplishment specifying the number of Professional Development Hours (PDH) that may be awarded, course participants must request the North Carolina Board of Examiners evaluation form from PDA staff. This form must be completed onsite at the conclusion of the course and returned to PDA staff.

    The credit value of this course is PDH credits.

SUBSTITUTION: If a substitution request is sent 30 days before the event, no fee will be charged. After this period, a $200 fee will be charged. If you are a non-member substituting for a member, you will be required to pay the difference of the non-member fee.

REFUND: If a refund request is sent 30 days before the event, a full refund will be given minus a $200 fee. After this period, no refunds will be given. Refund requests must either be faxed to + (301) 986-1093 or emailed to registration@pda.org. Phone messages are not accepted.
