This one-day training course will offer participants an opportunity to obtain information necessary to establish an in-house identification program for fungi (molds and yeasts), resulting in substantial savings for their company, and maintain a culture collection of fungi from isolates identified in-house. Discussions will include principles of Basic Mycology as well as the macroscopic and microscopic examination of fungi. Industry recognized techniques for preparing isolates for microscopic examination will also be discussed. Copies of microscopic morphologies for some fungi will also be available for each participant.
