Zachary Bendiks PhD Meissner Corporation

Zachary Bendiks, Ph.D. is a Senior Scientist with Meissner Technical Services, a unit of Meissner Corporation. Dr. Bendiks completed his Ph.D. in Microbiology with a Designated Emphasis in Biotechnology from the University of California, Davis, where he investigated the impact of dietary components on the mammalian gut microbiome. After completing his degree, Dr. Bendiks co-founded a startup company developing safe and persistent antimicrobial surface coatings for use in the food industry. Since 2022, he has supported Meissner's filter validation program which designs and performs validation studies on sterilizing grade filters for pharmaceutical manufacturers. In addition, he oversees Meissner's virology and mammalian cell culture laboratories which perform internal testing of Meissner products.
