Vlad Novak PhD ANAXAM Group Leader
Vlad Novak is a group leader at ANAXAM, where he is responsible for imaging with neutrons and synchrotron-based X-rays. He studied chemical engineering at the University of Chemistry and Technology in Prague, Czech Republic. After earning his PhD in 2014, he moved to the United Kingdom to work as a Senior Scientist at Johnson Matthey Technology Centre in Reading, where he introduced X-ray tomography to investigate the structural properties of novel materials for clean air applications.
In 2018, he relocated to Switzerland to begin a Marie Curie Fellowship at the X-ray tomography beamline TOMCAT at the Swiss Light Source. His research there focused on time-resolved X-ray tomographic experiments to capture dynamic processes in evolving systems. Since 2021, he has been at ANAXAM, supporting industry with neutron and synchrotron-based X-ray imaging. He leads the development of imaging methods for pharmaceutical applications, including the investigation of clogging phenomena in pre-filled syringes.
