Tim Schultz MBA Merck & Co., Inc.

Tim Schultz is an Associate Director in Merck Manufacturing Division (MMD), Global Science & Technology Services Center of Excellence. There, he supports the global sterile manufacturing network as it relates to large molecule Drug Product manufacture, with specific focus on Primary Packaging Components. In his tenure at Merck, Tim has supported the production of numerous vaccines, biologics, and sterile pharmaceuticals—both commercial products, as well as products within Merck’s pipeline. From 2000-2006, Tim served as a subject matter expert on filter and container closure validation, supporting MMD’s Bio/Sterile Validation group at West Point. In that role, he was part of multiple teams associated with facility startups, validation assessments, regulatory submissions, and product launches—as well as continuing support for in-line products. In 2006, Tim transitioned to Merck Research Laboratories Global Pharmaceutical Commercialization—Operations. There, he supported and led teams associated with manufacturing Drug Product for Merck’s sterile pipeline products in Phase I, II, and III clinical trials. He left Merck in 2012, and gladly returned in late 2018. Tim holds a Bachelor’s degree in Biology and Master of Business Administration degree in Strategic Management. Tim is very happily married to his wife Jamie, and together they have three wonderful children—TJ, Lucas, and Anna.
