Sebastian Groel Daiichi Sankyo Europe

Dr. Sebastian Groel is a pharmacist by training with expertise in freeze-drying and solid-state analysis of amorphous substances. Since 2024, he has been working on process development at Daiichi Sankyo Europe as Formulation Technology Manager, where he also applies his knowledge in tech transfer. Prior to joining Daiichi Sankyo, he spent a year as a postdoctoral researcher at Boehringer Ingelheim. Dr. Groel completed his PhD at LMU Munich under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Gerhard Winter, during which he successfully investigated and published several papers on freeze-drying and calorimetric investigation of relaxation phenomena in the solid-state. In addition to the research activities, he was involved in delivering educational lectures to students, sharing basic and advanced knowledge in pharmaceutical sciences.
