Sara Valentini, PhD GSK
Sara Valentini is a scientist at GSK Vaccines R&D center in Siena (Italy), where she works in Technical R&D-Analytical Unit within the Bioassay platform. Her areas of specialization include molecular and cellular biology, cell-based assay development and optimization, immunoassay development and assay validation.
From 2006 to 2011, she worked within the Immunology Unit of the R&D center in Siena (which was property of Novartis Vaccines at that time). Since 2012, she joined the Technical R&D-Analytical Unit where she has been involved in the development of the Monocyte Activation Test as alternative pyrogen test.
She has an educational background in Molecular Biology and received a PhD in Biotechnology from the University of Siena, Italy.
