Sang Yoon ImmunityBio

Sang Yoon serves as the Vice President of Quality at ImmunityBio, located in El Segundo, CA. He leads the Quality organization that develops and manufactures cell therapies, fusion proteins, and Adeno-virus. He is passionate about improving healthcare by commercializing drugs to treat rare diseases and building an engaging company culture to deliver results.Sang Yoon has over 25 years of experience in Product and Process Development, Manufacturing Operations, Quality Systems and Compliance, Quality Engineering, Operational Excellence, Validation, and Training in the production of biologics, cell therapy, and medical devices. He has also led Culture Transformation at two large healthcare hospital and Clinic organizations in California. Prior to joining ImmunityBio, Sang served as Senior Director of Quality at Samsung Biologics CDMO, and held Quality leadership positions at the following companies: Theragent CMO, AtaraBio, DaVita Healthcare, Providence Health, and Baxter Healthcare. Sang holds certifications as a Lean, Six Sigma Master Black Belt, Reg Affairs for pharmaceuticals (RAC), Quality-by-Design, Maxwell Leadership Trainer and Coach, Quality Engineering (CQE). In his free time, Sang enjoys exercising, reading, and travelling with his wife Susan, and three children: Faith (15 yo), Eli (13 yo) and Penny (4.5 yo Cavapoo).
