Robert Wilson Food Chain Safety
Rob Wilson is one of the founders and CEO of Food Chain Safety, a company headquartered in Washington that makes microwave assisted sterilization and pasteurization equipment. Mr. Wilson's duties include oversight of design and manufacturing of the MATS equipment as well as sales and strategic planning.
Mr. Wilson has been engaged in the food and medical industry for over 40 years serving many roles, from production to company ownership. Early on he was involved in food production with large multi-national food processors, and then switched to the equipment supply side providing both processing and packaging equipment to both food and medical customers, selling German engineered equipment.
Interested in microwave, Mr. Wilson gained technical knowledge from Raytheon then became a principal in a microwave manufacturer, located in the northeast. He was a part of many groundbreaking applications and has authored and co-authored several patented devices in that field, including some enhancements to MATS. After a brief retirement doing benevolent work helping feed the world organizations, he helped launch FCS in 2009. He holds a masters degree in food science.
