Michael Hendershot has a B.S. in Molecular Biology and Organizational Leadership with over 29 years of industry experience. He started his career at Becton Dickinson & Company developing microbiological media for biotechnology applications. Over the past 25 years at Eli Lilly & Company, he has supported multiple drug substance manufacturing sites in various roles spanning from primary loop Technical Services process representative to secondary loop network stewardship of production equipment cleaning and contamination control programs. In his current role, Mike serves as a Director and Global Process Owner of Contamination and Bioburden Control Strategies with a focus on drug substance manufacturing. He serves as a technical advisor for a global microbiology innovation laboratory and a leader in recruiting, hiring, and developing microbiology talent within manufacturing and quality.
