Lia Jeffrey PhD Bristol Myers Squibb

Lia Jeffrey has been in the pharmaceutical industry for over 25 years. She graduated with a Bachelors in Microbiology from the University of Massachusetts in 1999 and went on to get her Ph.D. in Microbiology from the University of New Hampshire in 2013. Lia has worked at a number of companies during her career including Wyeth/Pfizer, Millipore, Genentech/Roche, BioMarin Pharmaceuticals, and Bristol Myers Squibb. She has had roles in both QC and R&D performing microbiological testing & validation, research, and leading teams in both site and global Microbiology operations. In her current role, Lia is a Scientific Associate Director in the Microbiology Center of Excellence at Bristol Myers Squibb, and supports development of rapid microbiological methods, tech transfer of routine microbiological methods across the network, and implementation/alignment of global microbiological methods.
