Katie Cornish is a Senior Human Factors Engineer within Biopharmaceutical Development at AstraZeneca, where her focus is on developing safe, effective, and intuitive injectable products. Katie has a decade of experience in Human Factors, a PhD in User Centred Design from the University of Cambridge, and a BSc in Human Factors from Loughborough University. Katie has a particular passion for supporting users beyond the usability of the drug-delivery device. Through careful consideration of patient support materials, such as written instructions, videos, and demonstration devices, she enjoys seeing the benefits of taking a holistic approach to meeting user needs.
