Mr. Juan Jimenez, Consumer Safety Officer at U.S. Food and Drug Administration is a recognized Current Good Manufacturing Practices compliance officer for Human and Veterinary Drugs. Currently at the Center for Veterinary Medicine, he is responsible to develop strategic plans designed to target a course of action to ensure compliance with existing FDA/CVM laws, policy, regulations. Mr. Jimenez career has more than 38 years expirience, with significant contributions in areas of process validation, contamination control, regulatory strategy and enforcement. He is known for fostering transformative collaboration to co-create innovative solutions across diverse stakeholder groups such as drug compounders and sterile drug manufacturers for Europe, Asia, and Latin America. Before working at the US FDA, Mr. Jimenez, performed as Industrial Microbiologist for parenteral and lyophilized injectables of human and veterinary drugs. Evaluated the Current Good Manufacturing Practices from the private industry perspective, acquiring practical experience performing validations of environmentally controlled parenteral manufacturing areas ISO 5, sterility and endotoxins analysis of drugs, and laboratories facilities designs. He had experience on parenteral drugs, lyophilized drugs and solid dosages as microbiologist and chemist. He served in the State Senate of Puerto Rico as Law Clerk for the Judiciary Committee reviewing Senate’s Law Projects.
