With over 25 years of experience in the manufacturing of biotech products under current EU Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), he has built a solid track record in the design, scale-up, and operation of biotech facilities, encompassing both upstream and downstream processing.
His expertise spans the manufacturing of products using various technological platforms, i.e. he has worked extensively on the production of viral antigens and recombinant proteins from mammalian cell cultures, viral antigens derived from SPF embryonated eggs and antigens, recombinant proteins derived from microbial cultures (bacteria and yeast) and the production of parasitic antigens. Also, formulation, aseptic filling and lyophilization of vaccines and pharmaceutical products.
He is currently part of HIPRA, a biopharmaceutical company focused on the prevention of infectious diseases in both animal and human health.
