Iris Lugo Irizzary Amgen

Mrs. Lugo began her career with Amgen Puerto Rico in 1997 as a Manufacturing Associate responsible for the Fill and Finish area and Aseptic Processes at the site. Over the years, she has held roles of increasing responsibility within the Manufacturing and Quality Assurance functions, ultimately becoming a Senior Quality Compliance Manager in the Inspections Lifecycle Management organization, reporting to Amgen Corporate. Mrs. Lugo served as a Validation Manager responsible for the Facilities, Utilities, Equipment, Cleaning, and Computer validations for the site and later as a Complaints Investigator and Manager. Most recently, she worked with the Corporate Quality function as a Compliance Auditor responsible for ensuring compliance and regulatory requirements throughout all Amgen Sites, Affiliates, Contract Manufacturers, Transportation, and Logistics Service Providers. Today, Mrs./Mrs. Lugo is responsible for the Inspection Readiness and Compliance of the Amgen North Carolina site. She holds a B.A. degree from the University of Puerto Rico, Mayagüez Campus in Biological Sciences with emphasis in Industrial Microbiology, and a Post-graduate Degree in Medical Technology from the Sacred Heart University.
