Ilona Reischl-Kok PhD Austrian Medicines and Medical Devices Agency (AGES MEA) Assessor
Ilona Reischl-Kok holds a degree in pharmacy and a PhD in immunology and joined the Austrian Medicines and Medical Devices Agency (AGES MEA) in March 2006 after initial regulatory training at US FDA. She is affiliated with the Clinical Trials Unit since then as a quality assessor and served as head of unit until 2019.
She has previously represented Austria in the EMA Biologics Working Party and in various temporary guideline groups and currently chairs the Committee for Advanced Therapies. More recently, she has represented EMA in WHO activities on ATMPs.
She has been engaged in scientific and regulatory issues on the European level covering clinical trials, biologics and ATMPs. An additional focus are legislative interfaces, particularly of medicinal products and medical devices, including in vitro diagnostics.
