Henrik Herrmann FUJIFILM Diosynth Biotechnologies Executive Director, Technology and Business Development’

Henrik holds a Master of Science in Biology and a Master of Arts in History and Social Theory. With a robust career spanning both global and technical leadership roles, Henrik has developed extensive expertise in pharmaceutical manufacturing and drug product technologies. He began his professional journey at Novo Nordisk, where he held global positions in Drug Product and Finished Goods manufacturing. From 2011 to 2014, Henrik served as an expatriate in China, spearheading the launch of a new DP/FG manufacturing facility. From 2015 to 2019, he worked at Biogen, leading MSAT (Manufacturing Science and Technology) for Finished Goods, including overseeing and selecting technical CMOs. During this time, Henrik played a key role in transitioning the Biogen site in Hillerød, Denmark, to Fujifilm Diosynth Biotechnologies. Since joining Fujifilm in 2019, Henrik has led efforts to establish Drug Product manufacturing capabilities in both Denmark and the United States. His work has encompassed designing facility layouts, selecting technologies, developing processes, ensuring Annex 1 compliance, and implementing Quality Risk Management. Henrik has also built and scaled the MSAT DP organization. Currently, he serves as the Executive Director for Drug Product Technology and Business Development, driving innovation and strategic growth in the field. Outside of work, Henrik is an avid sports climber and rock climber. He has a passion for long, challenging climbs, particularly on big walls that exceed 500 meters in height.
