Eva Urban MSc Bristol Myers Squibb

Eva M. Urban is Senior Director Risk Management at Bristol Myers Squib and leads the Risk Management team in Corporate Quality. In this role she is responsible for Quality Risk Management and GXP Business Continuity Planning program enterprise wide. She has over 30 years’ experience in Biopharma (Lonza, Celgene, CSL, BMS) in a wide range of roles in R&D, Operations, Operational Excellence, and Quality Unit. She leads across organizational and multi-cultural boundaries. Eva’s teams have successfully implemented globally (US, EU, APAC) robust standardized processes such as Quality Risk Management, Regulatory Intelligence, Internal Auditing, Quality Management Review, Inspection Management, Quality Planning, Quality Metrics. Eva holds a MSc in Biology from University of Kaiserslautern, Germany. Current and past Volunteer for PDA: Chair of RAQAB (Regulatory and Advisory Board), Working group chair for the IPEC/PDA Technical Report “QRM for Excipients”, Co-Lead PDA Interest Group QRM, Co-Lead PDA IG Quality Systems, Planning Committee Member PDA Conferences, member of the QMM (Quality Management Maturity) Taskforce. Eva received the PDA Distinguished Service Award in 2021 for Co-Leading the Task Force on Remote audits and inspections, the Service Award for Co-Leadership QRM Interest Group in 2023 and the PDA Martin van Trieste Pharmaceutical Science Award in 2024.
