Elena Celi Lonza

Elena Celi currently holds the role of Process Expert for the pre-filled syringes line in the Lonza large commercial scale manufacturing site, located in Stein (Switzerland). With several years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, she has developed a deep expertise in aseptic processes, particularly in the Fill and Finish manufacturing field, where she built her skills in ensuring high quality standards along with production efficiency. She holds a Master's Degree in Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Technology from the University of Chieti, Italy. During her studies she made an abroad experience at the Comenius University in Bratislava (SK) and finalized her studies at the University of Helsinki (FI). Elena's professional career began as a sterile production operator for a CDMO, where she gained invaluable experience in aseptic production. During this time, she developed a comprehensive understanding of production flows and aseptic drug product (DP) manufacturing within Isolator Technology. Before moving to Lonza she transitioned into a new role where she was focus on aseptic processes and production documentation. She acquired a strong expertise in the aseptic filling of vials, liquids and lyophilized products as well as ADC manufacturing.
