Daniel Miranda Bristol Myers Squibb Associate Director, Human Factors Engineering

Daniel (Danny) Miranda is the Associate Scientific Director for Device Development, Human Factors Engineering, and User Research within the Devices, Delivery, and Product Strategy group at Bristol Myers Squibb. He is primarily responsible for leading human factors engineering and user research activities for drug product development. He has more than 15 years of experience in medical device research and product development.

Before joining Bristol Myers Squibb, he worked at Bayer as a senior principal engineer in their consumer medical device development group. Earlier, Danny spent five years at Harvard University’s Wyss Institute for Biologically Inspired Engineering, working on a variety of early- to mid-stage medical device development programs before transitioning to industry.

He has authored over 50 scientific publications and conference abstracts and holds multiple patents on various medical technologies. He received his Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering from Brown University and completed his B.S. in Biomedical Engineering at Boston University.
