Mr. Daniel Holý, Quality Assessor of Biological Medicinal Products with the State Institute for Drug Control, Czechia received a Master's degree in General and Applied Biochemistry from the University of Chemistry and Technology, Prague. Having joined the Institute in 2020, he is mainly involved in the quality assessment of marketing authorisation applications, investigational medicinal products and in providing national and centralised scientific advice. As a member of the European Pharmacopoeia working group on bacteriophages and the BWP drafting group on the EMA guideline on quality aspects of phage therapy, one of his primary current interests lies in advancing the regulatory understanding of phage therapy in Europe. He's also a representative at the EU Innovation network and currently chairing the Institute's advisory board for innovations.
