Damian Renggli University of Delaware Postdoctoral Researcher

Dr. Damian Renggli obtained his bachelor's and master's degrees in Materials Science at ETH Zurich, where he earned his PhD with Prof. Jan Vermant studying interfacial rheology of phospholipid monolayers, which is important for preventing lung collapse and maintaining fluidity within cell membranes. He then completed a postdoc with Prof. Patrick Doyle at MIT, investigating nanoemulsions for food applications, before starting his current postdoc with Prof. Norman Wagner at the University of Delaware, which is partially supported by Eli Lilly and Company. His research investigates emulsion-based coatings for lubricating parenteral drug delivery devices, besides the rheology of polymers at liquid interfaces.
