Ashley Stephen Layland began his career in 2011 as a research assistant at Sartorius Xell AG, where he gained extensive experience in cell culture technology and upstream processing. He later expanded his expertise in quality assurance, virology, and electron microscopy at Charles River Laboratories and the Centre for Ultrastructural Diagnostics at the University of Bielefeld. In 2022, Ashley assumed the role of project director at neotem Bioanalytics, where he led the establishment of a GMP-compliant Quality Management System and obtained GMP certification for the company. Ashley S. Layland now manages and conducts virus safety testing and the characterization of virus and gene therapy products using electron microscopy in a GMP-certified environment.
