Anne Baldwin Genentech

Anne Baldwin is a Principal System Specialist, Laboratory Automation in the Cell Therapy Center of Excellence at Genentech. With over a decade of experience in the biotech industry, Anne specializes in bridging laboratory science and robotics — translating complex biological assays into scalable, automated workflows with a strong focus on process improvement, sample management, and study design. Prior to joining Genentech, Anne served as Associate Director of Automation Engineering at Eikon Therapeutics, where she co-developed CELL-EEE, an innovative automated cell line engineering platform that dramatically improved speed and productivity in the lab. She has also held automation engineering roles at insitro, contributing to machine learning-enabled drug discovery efforts. Anne holds a certificate from UC Berkeley Extension and is passionate about expanding the role of automation in advancing cell therapy and drug discovery.
