Desiree Crisolo Biogen Head of Global Regulatory CMC Policy and Intelligence
Desiree Crisolo has 20 years of experience in Regulatory Affairs, leading and implementing pre-market and post market regulatory strategies for combination products (pre-filled syringes, autoinjectors, pen injectors, on body injectors, nasal sprays). Throughout her career she has also played an active role in helping shape and influence important combination product policy topics, such as regulatory expectations for Human Factors, Device Bridging strategies and improving access for important emergency use products.
Desiree is currently the Head of Global Regulatory CMC Policy and Intelligence at Biogen. In this role, Desiree is responsible for leading, developing, and driving the Global Regulatory CMC Policy and regulatory intelligence efforts. This includes actively shaping key regulatory policies through trade participation, advocating for CMC topics that support innovation and patient access as well as staying abreast of timely global Regulatory Intelligence to inform technical, regulatory and quality strategies. She also serves as a Global Co-Chair for Mosaic, Biogen's multicultural network whose mission is to foster awareness, appreciation and collaboration through a richer understanding of cultural heritage and identity differences. Prior to Biogen, Desiree has held different roles at Stryker Endoscopy, Genentech, Mylan(now Viatris) and Emergent BioSolutions.
