Nicholas Violand Johnson & Johnson

Nicholas A. Violand recently joined Johnson & Johnson as a Director, Enterprise Regulatory Compliance, working with corporate-level audit findings from external manufacturing sites as well as follow-ups to those findings. Prior to joining industry, he was a National Expert within FDA’s Division of Pharmaceutical Quality Programs in ORA, where he performed domestic/international CGMP and pre-approval inspections encompassing a wide variety of sterile and non-sterile dosage forms. During his time as a National Expert and earlier years as an Investigator in ORA’s New Jersey District/Office of Pharmaceutical Quality Operations, Division I, his work resulted in many significant regulatory actions.  He also focused on new Investigator training and mentoring and worked on many inspection-related projects. He received a B.S. in Biotechnology from the School of Environmental and Biological Sciences at Rutgers University.
