PDA Announces Establishment of New Chapter in Texas 1 February, 2013

Bethesda, Md., February 1, 2012 – The Parenteral Drug Association (PDA) is proud to announce the founding of the PDA Texas Chapter, which will serve PDA members in that area.

"PDA has a long history of members in Texas and we are excited to introduce the PDA Texas Chapter. The area has a great mix of established pharma/bio industry, and is becoming a hub of new development, especially in new therapies.  We anticipate the PDA Texas Chapter will help members access important information about evolving technical and regulatory issues, and serve as a valuable networking nucleus," said PDA President Richard M. Johnson. He added, "The importance of high quality, innovative, and cost effective therapies has never been greater, and together we can continue to connect people, science and regulation. PDA is honored to have such overwhelming interest from the community and we look forward to working with active members in the region."

The initial chapter leadership will include PDA members and industry leaders: Beth Kirschenheiter of Hospira will serve as the first Texas Chapter President.  She will be joined by, Chapter Treasurer Winston Brown, Alcon and Chapter SecretaryPatricia Rossman, Globiox.
