Special Technical Presentation

A technical presentation on "Quality Risk Management in Action: Driving Contamination Control Strategies Forward" will be presented by Amanda McFarland, Senior Consultant, Quality Risk Management and Microbiology at ValSource.  This presentation will discuss the critical relationship between Contamination Control Strategies (CCS) and Quality Risk Management (QRM).  As a dynamic, living document, the CCS necessitates robust risk management. Key insights on aligning CCS with QRM principles,implementing effective contamination controls, and the value of risk-based decision making will be highlighted.

Panel Discussion

A panel discussion on contamination control, will follow the presentation, and include experts across the industry based in the Mountain States PDA region.

Appetizers and Dinner

Appetizers and dinner will be prepared and served by a local, independent caterer, Greens Point Catering, that is included with registration.

Optional Tour

The evening will conclude with a window tour of Umoja Biopharma, Inc.’s state of the art lentiviral vector development and GMP manufacturing facility - The Colorado Laboratory & Innovative Manufacturing Building (i.e., The CLIMB).

About Our Guest Speaker

Amanda McFarland is a quality risk management and microbiology senior consultant with ValSource, Inc. She specializes in the creation and implementation of risk management programs and developing risk-based strategies for use in clinical and commercial settings. McFarland is an active member of the Parenteral Drug Association (PDA), co-chair of the PDA ANSI standard on QRM in aseptic processing, a member of the PDA Regulatory Affairs and Quality Advisory Board, and Kilmer Regulatory Science Collaboration co-lead. She has a B.S. in entomology and an M.S. in mycology, both from the University of Florida.
