Your local chapter of the Parenteral Drug Association is finalizing plans for the Spring dinner meeting in Kansas City, MO on April 17, 2017 from 5pm to 9pm. The meeting will be held at the Airport Hilton Hotel near the Kansas City International Airport.
This dinner meeting will be a collaborative event with the American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists (AAPS) and will focus on Zoobiquity and One Health. We are excited to have two speakers present on the use of animal models to illustrate pharmacological pathways, as well as diagnose and treat human diseases.
Ronette Gehring – Associate Professor in the Department of Anatomy and Physiology at the College of Veterinary Medicine at Kansas State University will discuss the use of bovine milk residue data to better understand how drugs cross the blood-milk barrier in humans.
Bernadette Dunham - Visiting Professor, Milken Institute School of Public Health at the George Washington University and former Director at the FDA Center for Veterinary Medicine, will speak on the concept of One Health, which is a worldwide strategy for expanding interdisciplinary collaborations and communications in all aspects of health care for humans, animals and the environment.
