Call for Abstracts & Posters

PDA is inviting abstracts for “Parenterals 2010” from interested members and colleagues in the pharma, biopharma, equipment, regulatory, academic and technology fields.

Poster abstracts: September 30, 2010


Case studies are particularly desired. Paper abstracts and posters must be non-commercial in nature, describing new developments or work that significantly contributes to the body of knowledge relating to Parenterals. Please send your abstract and the required information to Ailyn Kandora (PDA Europe) at kandora@pda.org.

Overview

This is a “must attend” event if you were working on sterile dosage forms. It is designed to provide a broad overview for individuals working in sterile manufacturing, QA/QC, microbiology, formulation development, package enginee-ring, and compliance training. Each day will be devoted to particular aspects when manufacturing parenterals. Topics to be addressed include clean room facilities, environmental monitoring and control, sterilization issues, manufacturing unit operations and technologies, aseptic filling, dosage form development criteria, container/ closure, packaging and stability aspects, validation of aseptic processing and product specific validation, QA/QC for parenterals including microbiological methods and regulatory trends. Specific attention will be given to new developments and trends in equipment and technologies used and employed in sterile manufacturing operations like disposables / single-use systems. The conference will include discussions on challenges in manufacturing biotechnological products and their processes.
