TRI encourages you to become an instructor. If you have an idea for a new course, we would like to hear from you. You will be asked to submit a Course Proposal describing the course, identify learning obejctives and suggest who the course will be most benefical for. TRI covers expenses associated with teaching and provides an honorarium for all our faculty members.
Instructors may select to teach a course that is one to five days in length. Courses typically run 8:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m every day with the following breaks: 15-minute morning break from 10:00 – 10:15 a.m., a one hour lunch from 12 noon – 1:00 p.m., and a 15 minute afternoon break from 2:30 – 2:45 p.m. Altogether, an instructor must prepare for 6 instructional hours per day, which may include activities such as lecture, discussion, case studies, group activities, problem-solving exercises, demonstrations, laboratory training and learning assessment.
Copies of instructors’ PowerPoint presentations are provided for every student; therefore, presentations must be submitted to PDA TRI at least 2 weeks in advance.
At the end of the course, instructors are asked to distribute the following TRI- provided documents to every student: (1) course evalutions (2) instructor evalutions (3) requests for ACPE Continuing Education Units (CEUs) (4) certificates of accomplishment.
