Networking the San Francisco Bay Biotech Community

Our chapter has been active for many years, and we welcome participation from all local folks involved in the biotechnology, pharmaceutical, academic, and government organizations with a desire to learn more about issues facing the industry. The national PDA also offers training courses, a journal, a newsletter, and many other documents of interest.  Our meetings are open to members and non-members alike.

Letter From The President:

Greetings WCC PDA,
Thank you all for your continued support and participation in the West Coast Chapter of the Parenteral Drug Association (WCC PDA). Through your participation in meetings as attendees, presenters and sponsors, 2012 was a very fruitful year for us. I would like to personally thank Lizzie and each officer on the WCC PDA board for their personal time and thoughtful support during this past year.

We are excited to kick off our 2013 year with a full calendar of events, networking opportunities and elections for new officers and members-at-large. Please visit our website to view the complete list of activities along with personal bios to learn more about your elected officers. Our strategic imperatives for the coming year are as follows:

  • 1) Grow Membership Participation
  • 2) Deliver High Quality Programs
  • 3) Strengthen Partnerships

As in the past year, our goals for the coming year are aligned with these strategic imperatives and designed to provide our membership with increased value.

Grow Membership Participation - We continue to grow as a chapter through the help of all our members. As always, we are very grateful for all our returning members and your continued support! Our members are truly what differentiate us as an association and our culture which is collegial, relationship-oriented, supportive and fun!  Our continued success depends upon your input and participation.

Programs - We continue to be committed to providing quality programming featuring thought leaders, panels and presentations on topics that are relevant, current and of interest to PDA members.

Networking - We continue to be committed to providing networking time and opportunities at all of our events. It's important for us to continue to be a resource and provide resources to our membership as well as to enhance our brand within the Pharmaceutical community.

WCCPDA is a 501(c)6 non-profit organization run by a volunteer staff of elected officers and members-at-large.

WCCPDA is always looking for sponsors for our dinner meetings. Sponsorships support the Reception/Networking Hour for WCCPDA events, help hold down costs for attendees, and are a great opportunity for vendor/service companies to get exposure to PDA and its members. As a sponsor, you get to strengthen your brand image, increase your visibility, and gain access to leaders in the pharmaceutical and biotech manufacturing industry. If you are interested in sponsoring any events this year please let one myself or one of the board members know.

We are looking forward to an exciting new year. Please feel free to contact me directly eborall.elaine@gene.com with your suggestions and feedback.
